Online Event, Zoom Cloud Meetings, Organised by Bradford Inner Space

This afternoon we will explore what the connection is between these two experiences and how they can uplift our feelings.

When we refer to silence, we are not talking about the absence of sound, but rather the condition or quality of our inner being.  The strongest distraction is often found in our own mind.  No matter where we are, we always take ourselves with us!  The head is so full of noise; the constant chatter of the 'inner voice', that the quiestest place in the world can become as 'noisy' as a busy high street.

Conversely, even when in the noisiest spaces it is possible to experience inner silence.  With practice, we can 'watch' the noise pass by.  Let it be - and know that we are not a part of the noise.  Join us and let's explore these ideas together?

About the speaker:  Toots beckett is a Raja Yoga student and Practitioner for the past 22 years.  She loves to apply spiritual truths and experiences in her daily life.  She works in an inner London school as a medical coordinator and supports the mental health needs of both the children and staff.  Toots juggles this role with the work of coordinating online events at thee Brahma Kumaris, Global Cooperation House Centre.

Toots finds her spiritual practice essential in helping her to keep a quiet, organised and happy mind in the midst of work pressure and through all the interactions she encounters daily.  This has become more obvious throughout the past year of the pandemic where as an 'essential worker' she continues to keep herself at ease with it all.
